These opal studs, handmade in New Zealand, are encased in clear glass.
They are handcrafted on the blowtorch from synthetic Gilson Opals, which have the same chemical and physical properties as natural opals but are more temperature stable, so I can use them in glassblowing! The opals shine with colour and are show-stoppers when encased.
